How to Treat Acne by Simply Washing Your Face

You have to understand first that dirt does not in anyway cause acne. This misconception probably comes from the fact that blackheads looks like dirt filling the openings of the pores of the skin. The black spot is not dirt but oxidized keratin. Built-up oils in the skin could cause blockage of these pores and could be reduced with standard washing of the face. Check my article on 7 myths about acne.

It may be ridiculous, but it’s true. You can cure your acne without spending a dime. I will share with you some tips to cure your acne by simply washing your face with water.

First in the morning, splash your face with cold water, and then rinse it softly with warm water. The truth lies in washing it gently. Scrubbing hard will do a lot of damage to your skin. While drying your face, it is preferable to use the pat dry method rather than scrub it with a towel. Scrubbing so hard could lead to an outbreak and production of more oils. You could wash your face in the afternoon as well.

Although, I try as much as possible to discourage people from using chemical laden product, you may use a very mild soap with antibacterial or glycerine content for washing. Let me warn here that excessive washing with soap could cause some allergic reaction and skin irritation as well.

Repeat the same process before you go to bed. Thus, you would have ended up washing three times a day. Make this process a daily routine and you will be amazed at the drastic change in your acne condition.

This secret will best work for mild acne sufferers, although acute acne could reduce considerably with this measure.
